ABC Data Sheet Template
ABC data captures what happened before, during, and after a behavior — the raw material for understanding patterns. Keep descriptions objective: what you'd see on video, not what you'd infer.
How to use it
- Log in the moment or immediately after — reconstructed data loses accuracy fast
- Use consistent trigger categories so patterns emerge within a week or two
- Always record the outcome: whether the intervention worked is your most valuable field
